Integrated Test Center
The ITC is a public-private partnership designed to foster the next generation of energy technology. The ITC provides space for researchers to test Carbon Capture, Utilization and Sequestration (CCUS) technologies using actual coal-based flue gas from the Dry Fork Station near Gillette. It is one of a handful of such facilities around the world and only the second one in the United States.
Kawaski Heavy Industries is currently using ITC to test an alternative technology for filtering CO2 that's easier on the environment than today's scrubber technology.

- C4X is testing processes to convert waste CO2 into a variety of chemicals and plastics, including ethylene carbonate, ethylene glycol, and microscopic foamed plastics.
- Breathe Applied Sciences designs catalysts for converting CO2 into hgih-purity methanol and carbon monoxide for industrial applications.
- Dimensional Energy is scaling a modular reactor technology that uses phtocatalysis to produce enironmentally responsible polymers and chemical intermediaries for industrial partners.
- Carbon Capture Machine crystalizes CO2 and saline water to produce high-value carbonate feedstocks.
- Carbon Upcycling UCLA locks CO2 to create an alternative to concrete with a lower carbon footprint
